Dalarna, Dubai and Tokyo are the coolest places right now, says my friend from Tokyo, the design guru Teruo Kurosaki. He loves Dalarna and wants for buy a house in Dalarna for his old days. Right now however, he is busy in a project for restoration of the damaged areas in Fukushima, under the name heartquake. I wrote a little piece about the special relations between Japan (Tobetsu – Sweden village) and Leksand in the Dalarna Newspaper this weekend, mentioning Kurosaki-san and his special Dala relations. On Friday I go to Leksand to inaugurate the exhibition Kimono Fushion, based on the traditional kimono in an un-orthodox way, bringing us straight into the subcultures and expressions of contemporary Japanese culture. The exhibition is curated by Aia Jüdes.
